Afterimage : Evocations of the Holocaust in Contemporary Canadian Arts and Literature grew out of the exhibition and conference held at the Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre, which included works inspired by memories of the Shoah as expressed through the personal voices of women artists who were born near the end or after World War II, and were affected by the war and the Holocaust.
